Become an interdisciplinary thinker.

The Beyond Boundaries program is a unique educational experience that allows talented and motivated students to tackle big societal and intellectual challenges.

The Beyond Boundaries program provides skill building for interdisciplinary practice in a cohort structure. Each year, a small cohort of students is admitted to the program and enrolls in a seminar, where students engage in activities and discussion about collaborative decision-making. Alongside the seminar, students take classes taught by interdisciplinary teaching teams on topics such as aging, public health, and entrepreneurship. Students also participate in specialized orientation, cohort-building activities, a peer mentoring program, and initiatives designed to connect with Beyond Boundaries students who are further along in their studies.

After the first year of the program, students participate in self-directed interdisciplinary study with the support of Beyond Boundaries advisors. Students receive a transcript notation after their sophomore year and, if they remain in the program, their senior year.
