Expand your world. Transform your education.

Think about it: exploring ancient ruins in Greece, learning about marine biology in Australia, or experiencing the energy of Tokyo firsthand. At WashU, studying abroad isn’t just a trip—it’s a chance to make your education truly global and unlock incredible personal growth before you graduate.

Studying abroad is a game changer.

It lets you see the world in a whole new way, understand different cultures deeply, and tackle global issues head-on. You’ll get to study what you love from a fresh perspective, maybe even do research you couldn’t at home. Plus, you build important skills like being adaptable, solving problems on the fly, and connecting with people from all walks of life — things that look amazing to future employers and grad schools. Most importantly, you’ll have amazing adventures and make lifelong friends from around the globe.

WashU offers tons of study abroad programs all over the world, no matter what you’re interested in or how long you want to go. You’ll receive support from study abroad advisors to find a program that best fits your goals and educational objectives. If you receive financial aid or merit scholarships, these will be applied to the cost of study abroad, just as if you were on campus.
