Overview  

The Student Content Creators will assist the Office of Undergraduate Admissions with the creation of fresh content for our official social media accounts (Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube). Students will have the opportunity to learn about marketing and communications and social strategy.

We are looking for students who can give a fresh, friendly, authentic take on life as a WashU student while adhering to brand voice. Content may take a variety of forms (print, digital, blog, social media, etc.) and may be distributed via multiple platforms with the goal of increasing interest and engagement among high school students.

Student Content Creators will spend a minimum of four hours each week on projects. This position will include both remote and in-office time depending on the project and current public health guidance.

Key responsibilities 

  • Act as a key creator in developing admissions office content for social media channels and blog.
  • Use knowledge of WashU and student life to help in the development of creative content

Required skills/characteristics

  • Full-time undergraduate student in good standing
  • All academic backgrounds are welcome
  • Strong communication skills are required
  • A willingness to be outgoing when needed is a plus
  • Photo/video skills are a plus but are not necessarily required
  • Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines
