Accommodations, meals, and transportation will be provided for student attendees. All students attending the program must stay on campus.

Students
If you haven’t already, you must submit the Code of Conduct Form ASAP in order to attend WashU FLI-In.
Parents/Guardians
If you haven’t already, you must submit our Youth Protection Forms ASAP in order for your student to attend WashU FLI-In.
Orientation
All students attending the WashU FLI-In and at least one parent, guardian, and/or champion (i.e. school counselors, relatives, etc.) are required to attend the virtual orientation via Zoom. The virtual orientation will include important information related to student and community expectations, emergency preparedness, and more.

If you are flying into St. Louis Lambert International Airport:
- Before arriving at the airport, please check with your airline about any additional service fees (for baggage, etc.) you may incur, and verify what form of payment the airline requires for these fees. You will not be reimbursed for service fees charged by the airline.
- Please call TravelPlex at 314-569-1900 if you have questions about your itinerary. If you are calling outside of business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Central Time), on your travel day, please use the after hours emergency number at 800-669-1430.
- You will need an appropriate photo ID when you check in at the airport. Visit tsa.gov for a list of acceptable forms of identification.
- WashU staff will be at St. Louis Lambert International Airport to greet you. Check in with staff at homebase:
- Students arriving in Terminal 1 – look for the red and white WashU table cloth in the baggage claim area near luggage carousel #3.
- Students arriving in Terminal 2 – head down the escalator to baggage claim. Look for the red WashU table cloth near the visitor information booth.
- After you have checked in and and picked up any luggage, WashU staff will walk you to board a shuttle to campus.
If you are driving to WashU:
Check-in for attendees will be located in the South 40 area of campus between noon and 5:00 p.m.

Parking is available at the Shepley Garage located near the intersection of Big Bend Boulevard and Shepley Drive. Temporary parking validations for Shepley Garage will be provided at check-in. For more information, visit the Parking website.

Frequently asked questions
How will I travel between the airport and campus?
When you arrive in St. Louis, WashU representatives will be at St. Louis Lambert International Airport to meet you. We will provide a shuttle for students from the airport to campus.
At the end of the program, WashU will also provide transportation from campus to the airport. Your check-out time on campus will be determined by your flight departure time. WashU will coordinate and provide a shuttle from campus to St. Louis Lambert International Airport.
Where will I be staying on campus? Will I be staying with a current student?
You will be staying with a roommate (another WashU FLI-In student) in one of our residence halls:
- Business, June 25-27 at Umrath House
- Engineering, July 9-11 at Umrath House
- PreMed, July 16-18 at Gregg House
- Arts & Sciences, July 23-25 at Lien House
A virtual housing tour is available on the WashU Residential Life website.
WashU upper-class students and/or staff will be on-site overnight and available to assist students who need help.
Are meals provided?
Meals on campus will be provided for visiting students. If you didn’t indicate your dietary preferences or food allergies on the registration form please email visit@wustl.edu. Include your first/last name and your preferences.
What should I pack?
Due to the short nature of your visit, we strongly encourage you to limit your packing to a carry-on size, if possible. WashU FLI-In is a fun, informative, and casual program. Remember to check the weather and pack accordingly. Bed linens and towels are provided.
You may want to bring some spending money if you plan to shop at the bookstore, Bear Necessities, etc.
Are parents/guardians able to attend WashU FLI-In?
There is no specific programming for parents/guardians during WashU FLI-In. The program is intended for students to learn about WashU, connect with our community, and engage with their fellow attendees.
WashU is only able to cover the cost of travel, accommodations, and meals for the student. If a parent/guardian travels with their student, they are responsible for their own transportation, lodging, and meals.
What if I am no longer able to attend?
If you registered for WashU FLI-In and are no longer able to attend, please contact our office as soon as possible to cancel your visit. We can work with you to provide alternate opportunities to learn more about WashU and connect with our community.
